I’ve finally accepted that these people get what true happiness and love are.

You know, I know a lot of you don’t like these people and this show. It’s cool, I get it. As someone who in generally does not like reality television, I just see where you’re coming from. BUT, I really love this family. For moments exactly like this. So they’re overweight, of a low socio economic status and the kids were born out of wedlock. These things don’t mean much to me. I appreciate the love and support they have for each other.

End of fucking discussion… #curves #curvy #wisdom #women #sexy #woman #bestsayings #whatmenwant #men

I hated that meme going around showing women from the past versus current female celebrities who are very thin. So body shaming is ok as long as its not someone that’s overweight? How about we stop passing judgement on each others bodies, period? I have a wide array of female friends with a wider array of body types. And they’re so beautiful in ways that are far more significant than the curves of their bodies.

Charles Ramsey is a hero because he called the police and helped them save three women from reportedly being raped and impregnated in a basement for a decade. But he’s a meme because he’s black and on TV, and because so many choose to ignore the horrible realities of the crime.

click through but this is the essence of it

I saw his interview for the first time this morning and realized pretty much simultaneously that he was a genuinely amazing man and that this was going to end badly in yet another racist meme.

(via thecurvature)

i think it’s SUPER important to make clear that this is happening cuz he is *poor* too (or working class)—i’ve seen PLeeeeenty of middle class people of color saying shit like “omg, why did he have to be eating mc donalds…”

boo fucking hoo, you assholes. so sorry that a poor black man was fucking hungry right before he decided to help fucking humanity be a little less horrific.

I first learned about this story when I saw a video of him being interviewed right after the incident. I didn’t really understand what happened to those women by the way they described it, but that man immediately earned my respect.

Honestly, for me it just showed how we need to stop showing classic heroes as white, affluent and conventionally attractive. Anyone can be a hero, and your background and lifestyle don’t define that, only the goodness of your heart. And what he did was a badass thing, hands down.
